About  Psychic ability
 

Trying to develop Psychic abilities is usually  not the goal that serves the most good for most people.
Working   to increase your personal spiritual awareness and evolution, meditation and practice of exercises and study of philosophy and ethics in addition to spiritual and mystic studies may lead to the development of or
awakening of innate abilities.

  In some cases contact with a spiritual catalyst or a person who gives shaktipat or a living enlightened one (of whatever path) or anyone who has more experience and ability ( it can "rub off") will help open a persons awareness some people have had these abilities open and increase after receiving attunements to some spiritual energy or other initiations of spirit.

There are some basic preparatory steps in most traditions world wide.  Some form of daily devotion and meditation, grounding, centering , clearing, cleansing . Trance and chi raising practices some of these methods can be found on this web site.

There are many  books that have effective guidance and training methods which can help you. Rather than naming them I suggest you search libraries and bookstores for a book that "calls " you.   Practice and allow are the biggest requirements and for some abilities you have to develop a more transparent ego.

 That means that you must not want power as such or desire to impress others and you must learn to be
neutral when you receive information rather than allowing input to be colored by your own desire for outcome.

In learning to see forthcoming events and patterns You can make use of divination tools in order to help awaken your contact with intuitive source,  in healing  learn some of the varied methods try many different forms of meditation and visualization and observe your surroundings both outside and within for information and listen for that small still voice in the wind or within your heart.  The largest block to the abilities is that people do not pay enough attention to what is going on around them or that they try to hard to make something happen. You are constantly receiving input on many channels but you may not notice.
